SIKU- Medium- Panpipe /Panflute
Double row (30cm at longest pipe) pan pipes from Peru
This is a New Pan flute (called Siku, See-ku or Sampona, Zampona in Spanish) made of 13 bamboo pipes arranged in two rows,
-The front row, called Ira, is made up of 7 pipes.
-The back row, called Arka, is made up of 6 pipes
The SIKU is tuned diatonically and consist of two separate halves, with the musical scale divided between both halves.
The longest pipe is approx 30cm long; they become progressively shorter down to approx 10cm.
The instrument is approx 11cm wide.
The pipes have been fastened by multicoloured threads of wool and trimmed with coloured pom poms.
Wonderful, healthy entertainment for adults and children of all levels of musical ability.
(Not suitable for children under 4 years of age)
- As each instrument is hand crafted they may vary slightly from that pictured, particularly the colours of the fabrics.
